TEES VALLEY BADMINTON

NEEDS YOU!!

Tees Valley Badminton needs more VOLUNTEERS.

Local Badminton needs more VOLUNTEERS, to help sustain what we already have and to improve what we offer to the players in the future.

By getting involved locally, it might wet your appetite for volunteering for national events.

Local volunteers were involved in the recent YONEX ALL ENGLAND OPEN 100TH CHAMPIONSHIPS at Birmingham.

Caroline Stewart and Paul “Ted” Edwards were Line Judges. Both were there all week (Tuesday to Sunday) and saw the action close up. Caroline was on court for the Mixed Doubles Final and Ted was on court for the Ladies Doubles Final.

Roger Cook was involved with the Arena Squad and during the Championship worked on the Concourse.

His duties were from Sunday to Sunday (actually it was 02.30am on Monday morning when the wagon was unloaded back at Milton Keynes).

So why not volunteer for local activities now. Looking ahead you might like to get involved in national events and who knows, you might want to volunteer for international tournaments, including World Championships & Olympic Games.
